On the afternoon of May 22nd, HUAULT Isabelle, Executive Chairman and President of Lyon Business School in France, PEJOUT Nicolas, Executive Committee Member and Vice President, Wang Hua, Vice President and President of the Asia Campus, Zhang Weiwei, Director of the Asia Campus Executive Education Program, and Huang Xinyi, Secretary of the President, visited Shanghai International Studies University (SISU). Principal Li Yansong met with guests at the Hongkou campus and held friendly talks on how to further strengthen cooperation and exchange between the two schools.
Principal Li Yansong welcomed the arrival of the delegation and congratulated the 150th anniversary of the establishment of Lyon Business School in France. Li Yansong stated that in recent years, based on the comprehensive advantages of multilingualism, interdisciplinary, and cross-cultural, SISU has integrated with emerging fields such as artificial intelligence and big data science on the basis of humanities and social sciences, promoting the intersection of humanities and science, as well as humanities and engineering. This is also the mainstream trend in the development of disciplines in the global higher education industry. SISU always regards international education as its core development strategy, and hopes that the two schools can expand multi-level and diversified international cooperation projects based on existing cooperation and the latest disciplinary development trends, promoting student exchange and academic research cooperation.
Ms. HUAULT Isabelle expressed gratitude for the warm reception from SISUand stated that the MBA Finance Double Degree Program jointly collaborated with the SBM of SISU was very successful. There are many similarities in disciplinary planning and development between Lyon Business School and SISU, such as the Artificial Intelligence Center of Lyon Business School and the Key Laboratory of Brain-Machine Intelligence for Information Behavior (BMIB) of SISU. She looks forward to richer and deeper educational cooperation and talent exchange between the two sides on the basis of existing cooperation, such as further exploration in the field of cross-cultural communication and the cultivation of students' soft skills.
Xu Yong, Secretary of the Party Committee of SBM, introduced the latest development trends and achievements of SBM, focusing on the construction process and supporting platform of SBM's digital and intelligent talent training system. Since 2021, SBM and Lyon Business School in France have collaborated on the MBA Finance Dual Degree Program. This program relies on the advantages of the two schools, combines top faculty from both schools, adopts bilingual international teaching methods, and through two and a half years of part-time elite small class learning, aims to cultivate high-end financial management MBA talents who create value for the world. At present, this project has enrolled students for three sessions.
