Full of hope and expectations, we embark on the new journey. On the morning of the 8th of July, Student Orientation 2023 of School of Business and Management was successfully held in the first lecture hall in Hongkou Campus, SISU. This was joined by Xu Yong, Party Secretary of School of Business and Management, Wang Xiangxing, SISU Teaching Supervisor and school-historian China Cares for the Next Generation Working Committee, and Wang Xin, Director of MBA center, along with faculty members and new students ,and hosted by Shi Ying, Associate Director of MBA center.

Xu Yong
Xu Yong, Party Secretary of SISU SBM, delivered a lecture at the orientation, expressing a hearty welcome to the Class of 2023. Secretary Xu elaborated on the past, prospect, professional teachers, international accreditation, training program and research program of SISU MBA and introduced the academic fruits and development of the college. He also pointed out that since the Class of 2023 were enrolled, they have chosen a tough journey which would doubtlessly facilitate them to cast skins, because SISU MBA, being research-oriented, is one of the best in China and most famous in the world. Later, Secretary Xu expressed warm welcome to the Class of 2023 and added that they should constantly improve themselves and make progress as the SISU MBA provides advanced technologies and gets increasingly involved in international interactions.
Wang Xiangxing
Wang Xiangxing, SISU Teaching Supervisor and school-historian China Cares for the Next Generation Working Committee, briefed the Class of 2023 on SISU, specifically focusing on the spirit and history, especially the construction of SISU campuses. Later, he also introduced the buildings with different countries of characteristics on campus, the activity center, the SISU way of organizing activities, the overview of different majors and the academic credit system in SISU. Besides, he encouraged the Class of 2023 to reflect on history and stay true to their original goal heading forward on the long march in the new era by telling students about the scholarship, the volunteer services, the school culture and the employment report of SISU.
Wang Xin
Wang Xin, Director of MBA center, made a comprehensive and detailed introduction of the design of the curriculum, Academic discipline strengths, faculty members, career development, second classroom and other extracurricular activities. She said that SISU MBA paves all along the way from elementary to advanced study, and added to this is the professional faculty members including foreign experts on full-time teaching and professors who are senior executives. Moreover, a multitude of activities in SISU proffer the chances of practicing. With all of these combined, the Class of 2023 are well taken care of. She concluded her speech with best wishes for the Class of 2023, hoping them all will start a wonderful new term and be outstanding with their own management skills and practical abilities.
To help the Class of 2023 to adapt to the new life in SISU as soon as possible, Shi Ying, Associate Director of SISU MBA center, Gao Jie, Academic Affairs Officer, Wang Lixin, Student Affairs Officer, Wang Chun, Career Development Officer, and Huai Fangying, International Affairs Officer, introduced the function of their own departments, way of organizing and activities. They also told the 2023 intake what they should take notice of in their campus life, so that they can show their full potential, be self-disciplined and enrich their life.
Fan Tianshang, President of MBA Student Union and student from the Class of 2022, made a brief introduction of MBA Student Union and student clubs, demonstrating the colorful study experience in SISU MBA. Besides, based on his own experience in SISU, he illustrated the characteristics of meaningful MBA with advice on plans of life and study. In the end, he expressed the sincere hope to welcome new students to join MBA Student Union and clubs, as they will instill vitality there.
Class teachers with best wishes to new students gave detailed answers to the Class of 2023 and deeper insight into the curriculum when they got face-to-face. They hoped that the Class of 2023 would write their own wonderful chapters in life with integrity, open minds and courage and graduate with fruits to be picked in SISU. Amid this, students actively made self-introductions, which helped them to know each other in a perfect ice-breaking atmosphere.
