SISU MBA Held Orientation for New International Students

On August 31st, 2015, new international students arrived at SISU MBA Center and gathered in Room 301, 6th Building of Hongkou campus, and had their first class—orientation. Ms. Pan Cong, Executive Director of MBA Center, Ms. Yuan Yuchen, Supervisor of International Affairs Office, Ms. Yang Baihe, Supervisor of Academic Affairs Office, attended the orientation.

First, Ms. Pan gave a warm welcome to new international students. Then, she made a brief introduction of the development of SISU and the general situation of the SBM and the MBA program. Ms. Pan also explained the concept of borderless management, and expressed her hope that new international students could not only acquire knowledge, but also enjoy the life in SISU and experience Chinese culture and make great efforts to achieve their goals.

Later, Ms. Yuan made a detailed introduction on how to start the MBA study and life in SISU. She encouraged students to take active parts in all kinds of academic and cultural activities on campus, and accomplish MBA study by making more friends and having interactions with each other. Ms. Yang introduced courses, resources, systems in learning and services   to the students. On behalf of SISU MBA students, Ding Hongzhen from Grade 2014 demonstrated the operating steps and usage of SISU MBA student management system, which would help the new students make preparations for the classes.

To help the students get to know each other and be familiar with the campus, SISU MBA especially arranged an icebreaking and meet-and-greet for international students and Chinese students. The meet-and-greet made the students from different countries and different cultures get to know each other and start their study smoothly.

In the icebreaking stage, international students and Chinese students were divided into different groups to finish different tasks. They struck up friendship through the tasks which had a good impact on their studying together in the future.
At 4:00 pm, SISU MBA new international graduates’ orientation of fall semester ended successfully.
