In the autumn, the most beautiful season in Shanghai, SISU MBAers welcomed their old friends, GMBA students from Tulane University.

Tulane University, founded in 1834, and located in the international commercial port of Louisiana and the cultural city of New Orleans, is a famous private research university with a long history in the United States. The visiting GMBA students are all coming to China for the first time to participate in the study of international entrepreneurship module.

In the morning, professor Yang Xiaolan, deputy dean of SBM, gave a wonderful lecture on Chinese Culture, History and Business Environment to the 20 GMBA students from Tulane University. The lecture consists of three parts. The first part is an overview of Chinese culture. Since GMBA students are new here, it is hard to avoid some cultural differences. The second part of the lecture is an overview of China's economy. It mainly introduces the history and infrastructure of China's economic development. The third part is about the new trend of China's economy. Students are very interested in the current popular mobile payment and mobile financial management, and actively discussed and exchanged with prof. Yang.

In the afternoon, the GMBA students, accompanied by Ms. Xu Junling from IAO office, walked into SGM and visited the assembly workshop and body workshop of Cadillac factory, experiencing the production and assembly workshop with the most intelligent process equipment and the most advanced management. One of the amazing things is that the car body workshop has realized 100% automatic production of all robots, which makes everyone's eyes wide open and amazed.

One day later, Zhang Peng, an associate professor of SBM, further explained business communication for the GMBA students, introducing them how to avoid differences caused by politics, customs, traditions, religious beliefs, laws and regulations, etc., so as to make communication better serve business activities.

In the afternoon, SISU MBAer joined the class with the GMBA students and participated in the business case analysis of XiaoMi led by Professor Gonzalez from Tulane University. Students were divided into five groups. The professor reserved enough time for self-introduction, and the discussion on the right and wrong proposition after everyone began to get familiar with it. In this part, everyone spoke freely, discussed actively, and fully expressed their own ideas. The short afternoon helped students get not only knowledge, but also sincere foreign friendship. The visiting students also expressed their hope that it would be possible to return to SISU for more courses in the future.

SISU MBA attaches great importance to the construction of internationalization, and has always been committed to cultivating students’ deep international vision. We have established a regular exchange mechanism with many overseas colleges and universities. On the one hand, we accept students from foreign universities to study in China and help students from partner universities to know more about China.
